A teen conversation

1: can you believe it

2: no she likes him but he likes that other girl who likes that other dude

who likes that girl who doesn't like anyone

1: yeah i know but anyways does this shirt make me look fat

2: no but do these jeans make me look fat

1: certainly not you look great

Teen years can be hard. Teens spend all their time worrying about stupid stuff. We worry about who likes who and if this shirt makes me fat. We worry about all this kind of stuff when really we should be caring about important stuff like grades and God. People worry about the next day when really we need to focus on the day that's happening now. If we worry about the next day nothing will get done. We will stress ourselves out. If we stress ourselves out we wont be able to focus on God and our quiet time. God doesn't care how we look to him we are beautiful and that's all that matters.

"Do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself, each day has enough problems of its own"

Allot of teens want the popular kids to be their friends. They want to be liked by the so called "important" kids. When the truth is every ones important in their own way. You may think your not important but to God every ones important and special because we are his kids. A true friend will never leave you. I have 2 close friends but 1 really really close friend. She's like a sister to me and i know she will never leave me. Think of all your friends. When you fall or are in need do most of your friends flee or leave you? I don't mean a physical fall i mean an emotional fall. Well let me tell you something the ones who leave you when you fall, their not your real friends but the ones who stay with you through thick and thin, those are your real friends. A real friend is:

-honest

-fun

-loving

-caring

-believing

-sweet

-true

-always there for you

-always where you want them to be

-have tolerance through the bad days

-believe in you when no one else can

-on your side through though times

-sees you when your invisible.

Guess what? God is all of those things.
